To (Aunt)Thelma, Kelly, Kirk and Brad (Cousins)
I was so sorry to hear about (Uncle) Duane's passing. I have a lifetime of incredible memories of all of the time's we spent together. I remember as a young boy going with my father Karl Tenney down to Utah Agency on Saturday mornings with a box of donuts from Granite Bakery so we could visit with Duane and Lee Parks.. Then began the real memories of the cabin that we shared in Scofield, UT. I will never forget the day we were camping at the state park on Scofield lake for the opening day of fishing season when we decided to drive into the little town. I remember being told to stay in the car as the parents went in side the house with the for sale sign in front and the cute old couple (Simonson's) sitting on the front porch. Then to all of our surprise you all came out and stated that we just bought the house. That's when the real adventure began and most of all of my best memories of childhood started!

The countless weekends fixing up the cabin and the incredible fun time's playing horseshoes and riding the motorcycles and snowmobiles. The adventure we went on around the area , exploring all of the old mining site and of course the old Scofield cemetery. Still to this day whenever I'm down there and walk through the front door I always expect to see all of us there together. From the bean bag chairs to the old patchwork carpeted floor the place is just filled with so many wonderful memories.

I know a lot has changed over the years and everyone has kinda gone ther own ways but I will always cherish those early years of my life and all of the fun that we had. It's because of all of the people that made it that way. Duane was an incredible man and he made a big impact on my life in my early years. I guess that mean he was an influence on who I am today!
I so regret that I wasn't there for you all on one day when you really need friends and family close but I just want you to know that your in my thought's and prayers and I hope that we can get together soon to talk about and share our memories. Duane will be deeply missed by the people's lives that he touched. I just want all of you to know that when my Father passed away I felt like I had lost my hero, somebody that no mater what you could count on. So I know what you are going through and I feel your pain. It's get's better but will never leave you!
Thanks for all the memories and for allowing me to be a part of your lives!

Dear Slaugh family, I was so sorry to see of Duane's passing. I was probably the neighborhood child who enjoyed him the most. Living right next door I had many opportunities to tag along. on many Slaugh adventures .Many of them were first time memories of places I had never been. I so appreciate how kind you all were to my Dad after my Mother's passing. My thoughts are with you all and many memories of love for Duane.

Thelma, we are wishing you and the family all our best.
My experience with Duane were always so much fun. We couldn't wait to see you guys at the Harman's events and hear Duane's new jokes. He was a master story teller and a very good man. Always made me laugh hard!

Utah Agency was my first job after my mission. I always looked up to Duane,
(more ways than one) for what he taught me and the fun he made for all. Got to take part in meeting him at CJ's. He was a character with many stories and jokes to tell. I'll miss him..
