Fond memories of Aunt Ruth,

The Lyon family lived in Salt Lake City and our family (the David R. Stone family) lived in Logan so we didn't see each other that often. However, we did go on a summer vacation trip or two together. We would trade cars and had a wonderful time as cousins. I always remember Aunt Ruth though—she would keep the fun going non-stop!

Later on, as I married and had a family of my own, Aunt Ruth would send a page or two of jokes from various magazines and newspapers at the end of the year to brighten our days.

I don't believe I have ever known someone with such a love and zest for life and its brighter and funnier side. What a special person!

Love,

Dan Stone

I will never forget my dear friendship once long ago with her daughter, Sylva. I will never forget meeting and visiting her in her home, as she made and shared her famous poppy seed pancakes. I still have the recipe ! Sympathy to the family.

I remember aunt Ruth giving me haircuts when my mother brought me over when I was very young. I remember her comforting grandpa stone when he was dying. I spoke to her at that time and her compassion made an impression with me that remains to this day. What a pleasant, jolly and caring woman she was. I will miss her.

Sweet, wonderful Aunt Ruth is a vital part of my youth. I loved staying over to play with Lowell, enjoying the food and family times, going on trips with Uncle Paul, always feeling like Aunt Ruth provided a loving, caring, soft shoulder through thick and thin. She has such a sense of humor, luring us onto a bar stool with freshly baked nuts, where she would then strap us into the chair and cut our hair. When Mom (Mary Lou) was sick for an extended time, Aunt Ruth was there to strengthen and assist us through the challenges. Hers is a grand legacy, my dear cousins; my heart is full of gratitude for the times we have shared, and the joy we anticipate on our eternal journey. Imagine the great reunion and happiness that our loved ones are enjoying, united and together once again.

Every time I came over your mom was always happy, no matter what! I enjoyed being your families friend. She treated me like a daughter.
May you take comfort in knowing an angel is watching over you.

We love Aunt Ruth. She was such a fun-loving friend to all, eager to draw family members together, and happy when she could help others to be happy. She was a gracious hostess to family and friends, and had a great sense of humor. We will miss you, Aunt Ruth, but know that you are now with so many who love you and have been eager for you to join them on the other side of the veil.
