I am so sorry to hear about Werner's passing to his new adventure. He will always be remembered by the Haslam family as a giant of a man. I love all the Birth's and think often of Crystal Height days. I am sorry I was not to his services to convey my love and support in person. May God be with you all.

I would have enjoyed knowing Werner. We are blessed to have his son, Wilford
and wife, Teresa as favorite neighbors in Centerville. Their sons have helped us
greatly by mowing our lawns and taking care of us in our elder years.

Werner's wife was my age. I am also of German descent and realize how lucky
I am to not have had the tribulations of war in my past. We can be a stubborn
group, but do accomplish a great deal with our tenacity. I am delighted that
they will be reunited now.

We offer our sympathy but know they are much happier now!
