The Holbrook Mortuary is part of a three-generation family owned and operated business since 1960. The owner, John Holbrook, is the 5th child born to L. Dale and Beverly Holbrook. John earned his Eagle Scout Award, graduated from Olympus High School in 1977. John graduated from Cyprus College of Mortuary Science with an Associate of Science Degree and a Mortuary Science Degree. John was awarded the Scholastic Achievement Award for scholastic excellence and the Roslin R. Ragsdale Award for outstanding student leadership.
John married Sandy Cochran Holbrook in 1981. Sandy graduated from the University of Utah with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting as well as a Master in Professional Accountancy from the University of Utah. They have four sons; Austin, who earned his Eagle Scout Award, graduated from the Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Finance and also his MBA degree at Cornell University in New York; Chad, earned his Eagle Scout Award, graduated from the University of Utah with a Business Finance degree and also the University of Utah with an Executive MBA degree; Hayden, who earned his Eagle Scout Award, graduated from Brigham Young University with an Accounting degree and is currently working on his MBA degree at the University of Indiana ; Logan, who earned his Eagle Scout Award and is attending the University of Utah in the Finance School.
