Ruth Hofmann Woolley, age 91, passed away July 20, 2016 in Holladay, Utah. Born October 14, 1924 in Zurich, Switzerland to Karl Edward and Margarete Selina Katherina Albisser Hofmann.  Emigrated to the United States in 1929.  Graduated from South High School and Henegar's Business College.  Employed at Kearn's Army Depot during WWII, later at Continental Oil and Union Pacific Railroad until retirement.  Member of Railway Business Women's Association, Utah Bar Auxiliary, Toastmasters, and The Kearns Group. Member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, former temple worker.  Married Richard B. Woolley May 14, 1948, later divorced.  

Survived by her two children, Michael Richard Woolley, Rio Rancho; Ruth Anne Bowker, Albuquerque; grandchildren, Kurt Richard (Kristine), Moriarty, NM; John Bowker, Albuquerque; Christopher Bowker, Albuquerque; and 2 great-granddaughters. She is also survived by her sister, Betty (Bud) Eatchel; brother, Ronald (Pat) Hofmann; and sister-in-law, Lucille Hofmann all of Salt Lake City, many nieces and nephews and their children and grandchildren.  

She is preceded in death by her grandson, Andrew Bowker; brothers, K. Edward (Ruth) Hofmann, Emil Hofmann, William Hofmann, Richard Hofmann; and sisters, Margaret Hofmann, Rosa (Jean) Resch, Ella (Cliff) Brenneke, Nelly (Chester) Clark, and Gloria Hofmann.  

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at 10:00am at the LDS Church located at 1361 East 4000 South, where friends may visit with the family from 8:30am to 9:30am prior to the services. Interment: Salt Lake City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Ruth requested contributions be made to the LDS Missionary Fund, in honor of the family legacy of missionary work started by her father.  Online memories and tributes can be posted for the family to read at: www.HolbrookMortuary.com
